Diaura – 月光 (Gekkou) Translation

Kanji-Romaji

Translation

Title: Moonlight

The blue twinkling moonlight

rains incessantly over the sleeping town.

The us, who think to who knows what*,

are still breathing here?

The blue twinkling moonlight

rains incessantly over the deep darkness.

Without waiting for nothing,

we wonder to where we keep walking…

The world turns white…

Everywhere turns white…

as if even every fault could be forgiven.

The world turns white…

Everywhere turns white…

and it goes on and on and on.

The blue twinkling moonlight

rains incessantly over the sleeping town.

We dream of who knows what* and

we wonder if we are struggling for something here…

The world turns white…

Everywhere turns white…

as if even every fault could be forgiven.

The world turns white…

Everywhere turns white…

and it goes on and on and on.

And it goes on and on and on…

The blue twinkling moonlight

rains incessantly over the deep darkness.

Without waiting for nothing,

we wonder to where we keep walking…

Notes and Other

*= I think I forced the translation a bit here: the idea that Diaura wants to convey in these lines is about “something not really clear”.

Really touching song, I loved it since the teaser. Simple worlds, deep meaning. The moonlight is also the symbol of the benevolence of the gods (especially Buddha, who is not specifically a god) towards the humans.
