Dadaroma – 「Happy Halloween」 Translation

Kanji-Romaji

Translation

“Have yourself Creepy Halloween”

Using a “party” as excuse,

let’s start a nonsensical banquet!

Let’s light the fires in our houses!

I won’t have mercy on you! Trick or Treat

Even cheap prostitutes and sore losers

forget the tomorrow and dress up.

Choose your dress, wear your mantle,

“Tonight I’ll be the monster”

Let’s play hide-and-seek in this orange darkness!

Put your mask of something else over your mask.

The pumpkin laughs and the hermit laughs too,

zombies play zombie-tag*.

Tonight This is Halloween

“Have yourself Creepy Halloween!”

Mosh with your blood-stained lollipops in your hands.

Tonight This is Halloween

“Have yourself Creepy Halloween!”

Mosh with your blood-stained lollipops in your hands.

I’m scared (I’m scared)

to You! (to You!)

This party is very filthy!

It’s fun? (fuck yeah!)

Of course ( Fuck yeah!)

I’ll forget everything

“Those who fell and cried for the DAC Apple Game**

are the ones who lose!”

——Cutting line——

I want to embrace each and everyone of your lamentations

and forget just tonight.

So let’s dance, you and me,

until this night the dream will vanish into daybreak.

And if you put on your scraped dress there

it will start one more time from the beginning…

——Cutting Line—–

“Have yourself Creepy Halloween”

Let’s dance together with this orange darkness!

What you hid under your mask is your heart.

The pumpkin laughs and the hermit laughs too,

everyone is alone.

Tonight This is Halloween

“Have yourself Creepy Halloween!”

Mosh with your blood-stained lollipops in your hands.

Tonight This is Halloween

“Have yourself Creepy Halloween!”

Mosh with your blood-stained lollipops in your hands.

Notes and Other

Words in Italic are in English in the original lyrics.

*= it’s a pun with “tag” since in Japanese it literally translates “pretend to be demons”, but since it’s zombies who play it became “pretend to be zombies”…I preferred to translate it as “zombie-tag” though…

**= Really no idea of what they are talking of here, I translated literally but it doesn’t make sense to me: if you have any suggestions please tell me.

Overall, it’s the classic Halloween theme, Dadaroma just added their own style and twist making another song against society.
