13 post after: I’m not dead…

First of all, welcome to 2017!

After my restless autumnal struggle, the feeling of being in a different season is somehow relieving, even so it’s not like all the thing I must do just disappeared. I couldn’t even take a little rest during Christmas holiday (yes, I still consider stuffing my stomach with a lot of food, go to parties with family, friends and strangers quite tiring) and university exam are getting closer and closer… but at least it feels like it’s the last rush.

In extremely short words, until the end of January I won’t be able to post any translation on the blog.

But, as soon as I’ll be freed by the chains of exams, I should be back with even more free time so I want to post translation and fix some things on the blog: mainly, establish some rule to request translation and put some new graphic. Also, there are so many songs/bands I would like to translate, like Razor, Initial’L and Xaa Xaa, and so many other things. I hope I’ll be able to do the most part of all this before going to Japan.

That’s right, as I said in a previous post, I’m going to Japan at the end of March and I’ll be staying there until the end of June. I don’t know if I’ll have time to post something while being there, but I’ll figure something out. During the last month I carried out most of the preparatives for the journey (all that bureaucratic and boring staff) and I can’t help but feeling the excitement grow day by day.

Finally, the statistics of the blog keep growing, and I can’t be happier to think that my translations can be helpful to communities all of over world.

Writing this post was a nice distraction, now I must go back to study (FUCK). Bye until the end of January!

  1. Happy 2017!

First of all, I wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for taking up on the request I made a couple months back about translating the Dadaroma songs you had left. I’ve been checking your blog almost every day for new translations, and every time I came across a new one I felt so happy. I hope that you do well on your exams, I was never a hardworking student so whenever this time of the year came around I used to be swamped in backlogged work. Please do not follow my example!

Congratulations on your stay in Japan too! I’d love to go some day but I feel anxious about not knowing the language. I’m fluent in English but I’d like to learn at least the basics of Japanese before venturing into the country. Your posts will be missed, but I hope you update us on your adventures on Instagram.

    My best wishes for you.

  2. I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am that you are doing this work! (You deserve some kind of gold medal, really!)
I don’t think I will be able to show all my gratitude in one, simple comment… but I love your work. I hope you will have the time to continue someday, but as a student myself I kinda understand how busy it is…
As a fan of Dadaroma, it’s been truly great to understand what their songs is about, instead of randomly guessing. Your clever thoughts and interpretations upon the lyrics have been amazing to read, it has added a new meaning to the songs, which I wouldn’t have been able to discover without you.

I wish you good luck with your exams and your journey, yeah, with everything!
