Title: Love and Illusion*
“I want to stay like this, doesn’t matter for how much long, I just want to look at your face”
I guess that such a thing is impossible, to such a spoiled child-like illusion
I want to go back to it, I can’t go back to it, why?
I want to go home, I can’t go home, is that so?
I want to touch it, I can’t touch it, so…
since we can’t meet, it’s fine even if I don’t know.
If with a kiss flowers bloom, with the body the fruits ripen and grow beautiful fruits,
I would be happy to completely devote my love to you as if I fell on the ground and started rotting.
I wish, you wish, constantly,
we obstruct our ways, wander about the sky.
Ridicule, scattered around,
messy, such are my emotions.
The memories I gulp down with the medicine melt and drift on the bottom,
the time when it stopped working, when was it? Whose fault was it**? I wonder…
“I want to stay like this, doesn’t matter for how much long, I just want to see look at your face”
I guess that such a thing is impossible, from this spoiled child-like illusion
I won’t wake up, I won’t regain consciousness,
it won’t vanish, it won’t vanish, how on hearth?
Even though it’s not fair, I turned this into a demo and wrote everything down.
Where are you? I’m close by you, I’m coming.
Come on, see? I’m right here…
Notes and Other
*=the title means “Love and Illusion” but it is read as “Rentogen” which is the Japanese words for X-rays scan. The meaning is that, with this song, Ryutaro tried to scan one of his past loves in order to distinguish what was love and what was illusion (and still is) in that relationship.
**=it can be also interpreted as if he couldn’t remember something about someone.
