Translation
I want to write something
so I’ll come up with something.
It’s just the empty me*
so let’s talk about you.
I want to take you with me in my future,
and even in the past, in space too and even in the netherworld.
I want to make up all of you
who are close yet far at the same time.
Once more, the night comes
and the sirens resound,
the music I heard that day,
I don’t need any refrain for it.
If you, who are in love, don’t want me to,
I will not even play the guitar.
Yet, if you are interested in this love,
no matter if I’ll be reborn as a different person, I’ll just come here.
Is really so important to have double A side**?
With just one lead song it won’t be catchy enough, I guess…
The me who is barely living and working
has found something important.
Once more, the night comes
and rain falls down,
The blood of the me living like this
won’t get watered down***.
If you, who are in love, don’t want me to,
I will not even play the guitar.
Yet, if you are interested in this love,
no matter if I’ll be reborn as a different person, I’ll just come here.
I don’t want to be tied down to words with not much value,
if screaming words that try to fit some kind of patter
can be easily considered rock,
then listen to this! I’m fine even without rock.
If you, who are in love, don’t want me to,
I will not even play the guitar.
Yet, if you are interested in this love,
no matter if I’ll be reborn as a different person, I’ll come here.
I tried to write down my feelings
but I won’t ask you to understand them,
even so I want you to know
that I’ve been born just for you.
Notes and Other
*=I thinks in the meaning of “the me who has nothing to talk about herself”
**= I think it’s one of the many kind of single release of the Japanese music industry. There are so many formats that it’s comprehensible that someone might get pissed about producer forcing artists to fit in into these standards.
***= I’m not extremely sure, but I think this may be an expression to say “to not lose one’s passion/determination”.
A cute nice song, according to the description in the trailer, this should Shizuku’s first song: I like the fresh and straight-forward style of the lyrics. The “you” in the lyrics sometimes is plural so it’s probably referring to the public and, following this interpretation, with this song Shizuku is expressing her devotion towards her will to do music. Her “love call” might be the one towards music, in contrast with the love that some people already feel and therefore don’t need.
