Hi guys, it felt so good coming back to the blog in such a long time! Your support was so amazing that I managed to post 23 songs in the last days. Also, Manuel helped me as well, so you should be grateful to him as well.
Unfortunately, I’ll have stop the activities for a while again, since the deadlines for my thesis are starting to pile up onto the preparation for my (hopefully last) exam session and the Japanese language lessons. This means that you won’t probably hear from me until mid-June, or even July. I’m sorry! But the good news is that, if everything goes according to plan, when I’ll come back, I’ll have graduated from my Masters. Cross your fingers for me, ok?
So, I won’t be posting, but there’s plenty of content on the blog for you to discover, so hopefully you won’t get bored! Stay safe and let’s meet again in a few months!
blind moon and secret romance please me more and more…
I’ll close your eyes with a dripping red,
until you’ll be on the verge of losing your good sense, gradually buried down.
The love of that time left you completely free
but the snake that feeds on hate won’t let you escape.
blind moon and secret romance please me more and more…
killers vein
I loved, loved, loved that person so much that I can’t hate him no more
killers vein
This shattered heart of mine, that day, was loved by you
and so, it rots…
There’s no way to get over this,
it hurts, right? It’s scary right? My past…
The love of that time left you completely free
but the snake that feeds on hate won’t let you escape.
blind moon and secret romance please me more and more…
please me…
killers vein
why won’t you let me forget you, even though I can’t sink more than I already did?
Killers vein
This completely impure body of mine hasn’t changed from that day when I was loved by you.
My dreams, they open up*
then, in an instant, they close*
and vanish in a puddle of blood.
killers vein
I loved, loved, loved that person so much that I can’t hate him no more
killers vein
This shattered heart of mine, that day, was loved by you
and so, it rots.
But I’ll be resurrected, with a different face…

*= also meaning that the dreams look, for an instant, at reach.
Diaura’s song are always very complex to understand, but it seems that the general theme is suffering about love. If I’d to take a guess, I’d say the suffering that the main protagonist feels is because, after she (in some part of the song there are some feminine expressions) has been let down, she still feels love for the partner, and that love burns, like some kind of poison that has been injected in her veins. The hydra migh be linked to the poison element, just as the last line, which seems as the protagonist has been turned in an hydra as well: after she’s been killed, she’ll be reborn with a new face (head).
Yes, as you can see, I’m very open to more believable interpretation.
So much time has passed and I’m still delivering you my ever burning feelings,
until I’ll meet you again in this scenery changing incessantly.
I recall the memories of a far away past, in the depth of the raging sea a new life arises.
We met while being touched by the sun rays of the ancient eras, so I won’t doubt that we will meet again in an unknown future.
A giant mountain range roars and while breathing out a white cloud, obstructs the sun
and steals everything from us…
On the cracking soil, I gazed with you upon the world at its end,
leave with a pray to overcome space and time and meet again someday…
We repeated a process of evolution in the same way we were shown, and we built many fleeting civilizations,
but on top of the crowded grey concrete, I only searched for your silhouette.
The sun will pour down poison and the soil who sustained all of our sins will die out
and they will steal everything from us…
So much time has passed and I’m still delivering you my ever burning feelings,
until I reach the scared you in this never ending spiral
Towards that new encounter** that we promised in the end on the other side…
Notes and Other
*= the word is written in katakana, as to symbolize a place which is not from this time and space, somewhere “beyond”.
**=according to Buddhism, people who are bound to each other by a strong link (love, hate and so on) are destined to meet countless times in every cycle of death and rebirth.
Another love song with a catastrophe in the background, but this time the song it’s still more focused on the idea that their love is so strong that it will make the two meet in every rebirth.
[What you] IMAGINE is like an infectious disease, digitalized MONKEYS
stare at an image pointing with their finger.
“I know all about you*”
that’s what you want, it’s fine like that, right? Your beloved princess.
So, with your selfish fantasies, you try to create me,
and inside what you imagined there’s blood flowing.
But try to understand at least this: that is not me,
I’m not your personal toy.
I’m not some kind of dancing doll.
This people who have nothing to do are getting worse, it’s a spreading disease,
inside their palm there is a world.
“I made you* grow up”
that’s what you want, it’s fine like that, right? Your beloved mommy.
With an even more crazy fantasy, you try to create me,
and in your mindless rush there’s blood flowing.
But try to understand at least this: that is not me,
I’m not your personal toy.
Don’t spread around rumours of our fake love.
So, with your selfish fantasies, you try to create me,
and inside what you imagined there’s blood flowing.
But try to understand at least this: that is not me,
I’m not your personal toy.
I’m not some kind of dancing doll.
With your crazy fantasies, you try to create me,
and the risk of doing that alone is the only beautiful thing.
But try to understand at least this: that is definitely not me,
I’m not your personal toy who gives you a beautiful smile that nobody knows of.
Don’t spread around rumours of our fake love.

*= the term used here is way too endearing in this context and sounds plain disgusting.
The title is pretty straightforward, but I don’t know if the song is sung from the perspective of a common ideal or by the personal point of view of the singer: if I had to guess, I’d say the second one.
