Translation
we arrived
I had a dream, I was together with you
inside a time so long we could almost get lost in it
Tonight, let’s make that dream come true
now bask into that light raining on you
Now, break through this place
shine and make my body burn
Reaching you, surpassing life to the brink of death
my heart thinks of you*
I had a dream, I was together with you
inside a time so long we could almost get crazy in it
I’ll make it come true, yes, for real
now bask into the future raining down on you
Now, break through this place
shine and make my body burn
Reaching you, surpassing life to the brink of death
my heart thinks of you*
Go forth, morph your body, yes, in something crazy
yes, we arrived
Devote all of you, become crazy
yes, we’re alive
Everyone holds onto one’s dream
and even if they won’t come true, they still fight,
that’s what’s called “living”, don’t you think?
For you, for me
Now, break through this place
shine and make my body burn
Reaching you, surpassing life to the brink of death
my heart thinks of you*
I imagine a dream for eternity*
Notes and Other
Words in Italic are in English in the original lyrics.
*= the words here are written using katakana and kanji, a writing style commonly found in ancient Japanese poetry which, supposedly, represent the truest form of expression of “the Japanese spirit”. In this case, it is a way for the composer to show that he’s earnestly writing to convey a sincere feeling of affection to the public.
A song written by lynch. right after most of the heavy restrictions for COVID-19 were lifted. During the lockdown the band started an amazing iniziative to raise money for the livehouses which, unable to provide a safe environment for concerts, were economically struggling. This song marks their comeback to live exhibition, playing on the pronunciation of the word”allive”, which may sound as “we arrived” (we are back), “we’re alive” and “we are live”. I think the rest is pretty much self-explanatory.
